In early March 2014, inspired by It Starts with Food: Discover the Whole30 and Change Your Life in Unexpected Ways, I began my Whole30 Program with three goals: physical health & weight loss, freedom from food addictions, and a desire to feel good (not necessarily in that order). Stripping sugar, grains, dairy and legumes from my diet for 30 days meant cutting out all the “psychologically unhealthy, hormone-unbalancing, gut-disrupting, inflammatory food groups.” The Whole30 was my reset button. It changed my life. Now, the key is sticking it.
